We are offering a tax-season contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in WESTPORT, Connecticut. This role is within the accounting industry, where you will be handling tasks related to tax preparation and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer data entries for tax preparation

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to manage and maintain client's financial data

• Provide exceptional customer service by resolving customer inquiries promptly

• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales for tax preparation and sales tasks respectively

• Ensure accurate accounting functions by maintaining precise customer credit records

• Handle ADP- Financial Services related tasks

• Determine and apply deductible tax amounts for clients

Requirements • Applicant must possess at least 1 year of experience in a Tax Preparer role or similar.

• Strong understanding and execution of Accounting Functions is required.

• High level of Customer Service skills is essential, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.

• Proficiency in Data Entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Knowledge and understanding of Deductible calculations and their application in tax preparation.

• Demonstrated expertise in Tax Preparation, including preparation of accurate tax returns and offering tax advice to clients.

• Prior experience as a Tax Preparer, with the ability to handle complex tax issues and provide efficient solutions.
