Washington Music Sales Center Full-time String Shop Assistant in Wheaton, Maryland
Chuck Levin's has a legendary storefront and growing online sales, but we also operate a large rental instrumental fleet which services major systems throughout the DMV and even across the country.
There is one rare full-time opening in our Orchestral String Shop for a shop assistant to aid in the cataloging, maintenance, and cleaning of rental instruments. No direct prior experience is necessary, as all training will be provided onsite by our certified technicians, but applicants who play music or have a familiarity with orchestral instruments will be given priority.
This full-time position is ideal for someone wanting to get their foot in the door at one of the nation's leading independent music stores and expand their skill set to include instrument repair! Scheduling is somewhat flexible, but will be centered around a five-day week during business hours between Monday-Saturday.
All candidates must be able to lift 30 lbs regularly and comfortably. Shop Assistants will need to be successful in a team environment but also capable of being tasked with individual projects.
