Actalent Quality Manager in Whippany, New Jersey

Description

  • Plan, organize, implement, and direct Quality and Test team members and material resources to assure delivery of products and services that fulfills the customer’s needs and expectations

  • Establish Quality goals, work plans, and budgets such that lowest cost and highest quality results are achieved

  • Assure that business activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements

  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements

  • Direct company actions to maintain and renew AS9100 and AS9110 certifications

  • Serve as the Management Representative for all Quality audits and inspections

  • Provide quality plans and metrics to monitor and report division results

  • Direct process/product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization

  • Identify relevant quality-related training needs and develop methods to deliver this training

  • Develop a work environment that fosters open and honest communications to continuously instill confidence and credibility by actively engaging the workforce

  • Select, hire, train, and provide ongoing leadership of assigned personnel to meet objectives and organizational goals

  • Recruit, manage, motivate, and develop staff in assigned area to ensure individual and team effectiveness

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a science-related field from an accredited university or college

  • 5 years’ experience within a highly regulated environment

  • Prior experience in a leadership role to cross-functional teams

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Eligibility for any required authorizations from the US government, to conform with US export regulations and ITAR 120.15 and EAR Part 772.
