Cargill Relief Operator in White Marsh, Maryland
Want to build a stronger, more sustainable future and cultivate your career? Join Cargill's global team of 160,000 employees who are committed to safe, responsible and sustainable ways to nourish the world. This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
The Relief Operator will fill in as needed by working various jobs in the plant. One of those jobs is operating automatic bagging machines. This requires them to have knowledge of how to operate an automatic bagger, bagging scales and a palletizer.
The Relief Operator is also responsible for operating a propane powered forklift to remove pallets of packaged product off the production line after the pallet has been stretch wrapped and storing them in their designated area. This position is also responsible for keeping the palletizer magazine full of pallets, dumping hoppers of trash in the roll-off dumpster, removing full hoppers of salt from the packaging room & warehouse and changing empty stretch wrap and top sheet rolls.
When not performing the three jobs mentioned above the Relief Operator will either run the MB Bagger, use a forklift to help make full rows to open more room on our storage pad or perform housekeeping duties assigned to him by the Production Supervisor or Lead Person.
