We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the accounting industry, located in White Plains, New York, for an Entry Level Accountant. You will be a crucial part of our team, assisting with the processing and validation of tax source documents, ensuring the accuracy of customer data, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Cross-check system data against source documents to identify discrepancies, errors, or redundancies

• Participate in the intake of tax source documents and validate the data for accuracy

• Maintain a high attention to detail during the data validation process

• Follow a structured process for data validation, adhering to the firm's Standard Operating Procedure

• Contribute to the company's goal of meeting tax preparation deadlines

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new aspects of public accounting, business services, and tax

• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation and Tax Preparation to ensure customer satisfaction

• Navigate and learn new software as needed to perform job functions.

Requirements

• The applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Experience or knowledge in Tax Preparation is required.

• Familiarity with various Tax Forms is necessary.

• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, are required.

• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is needed.
