Position Overview:

We are looking for a LAN Administrator with expertise in Cisco platforms, firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our local area network infrastructure. This role will require a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot network issues, optimize network performance, and ensure the security and reliability of our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco networking equipment.

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems.

  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement network upgrades and expansions.

  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a LAN Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency with Cisco networking equipment and software.

  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP systems.

  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is highly desirable.

  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).

  • Familiarity with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
