Senior Payroll Officer – Box Hill/Hybrid

The Job:

As a Senior Payroll Officer , you’ll be part of our HR team working Mondays in our Box Hill head office and Tuesday-Friday from home.

Your Duties will include:

• Processing payroll for 3 of our business entities, including time and attendance and month/year end requirements.

• Updating payroll databases using Access Micropay

• Administering Employee Self Service System (ESS) and ensuring compliance with HR/Payroll processes for SOX compliance

• Managing employee data, journals, and tax payments

• Ensuring compliance with Awards, legislation, and reporting requirements both in Australia and New Zealand

• Handling payroll-related queries and ad hoc reporting for managers

You also have:

• Significant experience in a stand-alone Payroll position including dealing with State Revenue Offices for payroll tax, Workcover authorities, The Australian Taxation Office and Inland Revenue (NZ)

• Previous experience processing payroll with Micropay

• A strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislative reporting requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Products

• Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
