Description We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team in Whites Creek, Tennessee. In this role, you will analyze and report on the costs of operation, inventory, and production within our organization, providing critical data that will assist management in setting strategic goals, making decisions, and planning budgets.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses.

• Construct systems to accumulate and monitor costs.

• Analyze collected data and log a detailed record of the results.

• Evaluate changes in goods or services provided to determine the impact on costs.

• Compare budget costs to actual manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports.

• Prepare cost forecasts/budgets on a regular basis.

• Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.

• Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports.

• Estimate the costs of new and proposed products.

• Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

• Maintain the Cost Accounting System.

• Coordinate with all departments to establish cost standards and analysis. Requirements • Proven experience in Cost Accounting for a minimum of 5 years

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Demonstrated experience with CapEx and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with ERP Solutions

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Budget Processes and Cost Accounting

• Proficiency in Cost Analysis

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
