Job Purpose and Impact

The Foreign Exchange Advisor will lead in the foreign exchange risk analysis & insight for relevant businesses and reporting transactions. In this role, you will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership while partnering with key stakeholders to define and convey process strategy and standards for risk processes globally. In this role, you will be an active steward of the FX Control Framework and will bring capability and strategic opportunities and gaps to the FX COE and / or senior risk management leaders for dispositioning and actioning. You are regularly sought by individuals because of your FX aptitude, and will exercise your judgement in a broader scope, having an impact on the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide expert knowledge, thought leadership, and collaborative consultation to global leadership for direction and standards for FX risk(s), FX processes and the FX Control Framework within enterprises and functions.

  • Partner collaboratively with operational and implementation leaders to ensure successful implementation of FX processes and the FX Control Framework globally, evaluate end to end performance and influence necessary design or execution adjustments.

  • Partner with key stakeholders and teams across Cargill to provide thought leadership and support to cross functional process, data and technology strategies and projects.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to monitor FX risk(s) and ensure completeness of all the complex financial reporting within deadlines and compare against limits, escalate, and resolve breaches of limits.

  • Lead in regional risk assessments ensuring alignment with global policies, processes, and standards.

  • Ensure compliance of operations and monitor points of control and KPIs

  • Create documentation and training materials and ensure that they are kept up to date as changes are implemented across all risk and trade product control processes.

  • Develop and implement process simplification, enhance process standardization, optimize reporting, drive automation and transformation processes.

  • Communicate key strategy messages, providing engagement to the team, and share knowledge for the ongoing development of others.

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Strong knowledge within foreign exchange practices

  • Fluency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of financial risk management and proven ability to identify and quantify risks.

  • Experience in process design, transformational projects, and implementation of process improvements

  • Good knowledge in commodities and derivatives

  • US GAAP accounting understanding to evaluate financial risks.

  • Experience in data analytical tools such as KNIME, Tableau or Power BI
