Abbott Molecular Diagnostics (AMD) Division is looking for a Strategic Pricing Manager (m/f/d) based in Wiesbaden, Germany. The position reports to the EMEA Commercial Excellence Director.

Supports the territory commercial organization in growing the AM business and driving commercial excellence for the territory. Supports the launch of new products for successful market uptake in the territory

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and implement pricing plans for the organisation’s products/services to meet established targets.

  • Establish, control and adjust pricing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.

  • Guide, monitor, analyze, and provide subject matter expertise on pricing and contract terms for acquisition opportunities. Supports the sales force on specific negotiations with customers if required.

  • Advise on deal pricing and contract terms for upcoming deals. Approves and/ or elevates for further approval in accordance with Divisional guardrails.

  • Analyze impact of pricing and contract term decisions on deal EP, win rates and region/country profitability

  • Drive commercial excellence initiatives to improve gross margin across EMEA.

  • Supervise the calculation of the sales incentives.

  • Provide regular updates to management on the shipment and installation plans of specific recently launched products.

  • Ad-Hoc – supports Commercial Excellence Director on ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

  • Manage, motivate and develop one direct report.


  • University Degree in finance, business, marketing, technical or science discipline.

  • Min 5 years experience in a similar role or +8 years experience in related positions, ideally within the Diagnostic, Medical Device industry.

  • Must ideally have an understanding of the sales process for AM products however not a must.

  • Very strong analytical skills or experience in finance.

  • Must be able to influence people not reporting directly

  • Travel up to 20%

  • Fluent in English
