Robert Half is working with a dynamic and growing organization who is seeking help in their HR department. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to help this company during second shift hours. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting employees and ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. You will work closely with the HR team to provide a wide range of HR services to our employees and managers. What you get to do every day as an HR Generalist:

  • Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee

  • Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

  • Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department

  • Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

  • Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations

  • Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

  • Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors

  • Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

  • Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

  • Develop a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections

  • Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

  • Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite


  • Prior HR Generalist experience

    • If you are highly professional, and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity, you will be a top candidate
  • Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms

  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws

  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

  • Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

  • Excellent written and verbal business skills

  • Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus

  • Experience with full cycle recruiting

  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
