DealerPolicy Associate QA Engineer in Williston, Vermont

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to collectively evaluate, advocate, and report on the quality of software being built by DealerPolicy Engineering teams

  • Perform functional/regression testing for feature changes and defect fixes to ensure functional requirements and design standards are met

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers, designers, products) to help identify application feature requirements and clarify testing needs

  • Participate in scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-up, retrospective)

  • Identify, clearly document, evaluate the severity of, and communicate defects

  • Contribute to the creation, evolution, and maintenance of automated UI and API testing suite

  • Identify and work to resolve inefficiencies in process and product to help contribute to a more successful team and overall company initiatives

Requirements

  • 0 – 1 year of relevant software testing work experience (we will train the right person)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of basic QA testing concepts and methodologies

  • Exposure to software testing of web-based applications

  • Basic understanding of web application architecture

  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment

  • Passion for quality and strong attention to detail in all facets of work

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Motivated self-starter, willing and able to learn new programs and concepts

  • Highly collaborative and effective communicator
