Position Summary:

Support the work on the lines in the areas of problem solving, continuous improvement, first pass yield, schedule attainment, training and efficiencies. Ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained at all times. Team Lead must be accessible to the production team 95% of the time. Must also be able to perform all the jobs on team to help cover for unplanned absences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform quality checks in all assigned areas

• Would be responsible for quality inspection process in Finishing/Upholstery area.

• Provide first response to Equipment and Parts issues/concerns

• Train and oversee training of team members

• Work with team to assure quality product and follow documented work instructions

• Monitors and maintains 5S in their assigned areas

• Fills in as back up for absences per Supervisor

• Understands and support safety policies, initiatives and training programs.

• Ability to locate and use the HazCom labels and MSDS information.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• One year manufacturing experience

• Must have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Must have computer, math and reading proficiency

• Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change

• Must be able to read drawings and specifications

• Leadership training preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

Regularly required to stand (90%), walk, climb, bend during work day. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors on a daily basis. Physical exertion is required.

Cualificaciones requeridas y preferidas:

• Un año de experiencia en fabricación

• Debe tener fuertes habilidades de comunicación y capacidad para trabajar en equipo.

• Debe tener conocimientos de computación, matemáticas y lectura

• Gestionar múltiples tareas y prioridades y adaptarse a los cambios

• Debe ser capaz de leer planos y especificaciones

• Preferiblemente capacitación en liderazgo

• Tener/ poseer diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente

Ambiente laboral:

Regularmente se requiere estar de pie (90%), caminar, trepar, agacharse durante la jornada laboral. Expuesto a ruido, polvo, humos y olores a diario. Se requiere esfuerzo físico.
