TelCom Construction Splicing Supervisor in Willmar, Minnesota

Overview and Essential Functions

The Splicing Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision of a project. The purpose of this position is to provide communication and leadership to the Field Supervisor, Outside Plant Assistant or the Foreman.

What will you do?

  • Supervise the day to day splicing operations

  • Work with in-house crews on scheduling and efficiency

  • Responsible for job completion of assigned projects

  • Provide communication and leadership to splicers

  • Organizing splicing materials, equipment, and crew members

  • Review results and ensure crew members have the correct materials for projects

  • Verify materials and billing

  • Provide all required job reporting

  • Actively participate in and take responsibility for safety, maintenance, production and personnel related initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous utility construction crew leadership experience is preferred

  • Experience working with telecommunication MSA contracts is strongly preferred

  • This position also requires good computer skills specifically database software and Excel

  • Prior experience working with Google applications is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required

  • Out of town travel may be required as well as on-call availability

  • A valid driver’s license with good driving record

  • Class A CDL license is a plus!

  • Frequent sit, stand and/or walk

  • Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs

  • Occasionally work in adverse weather conditions and uneven surfaces

  • Wear required personal protective equipment if required
