As a Risk Management - Strategic Analytics - Associate in the Lending Innovation Risk team, you will be at the forefront of managing the overall risk of our new digital-first installment lending solutions. You will have direct ownership and accountability for managing risk of new and existing unsecured lending programs through optimization of risk segmentation, targeting, performance, and profitability. Your role will involve developing unsecured installment lending risk strategies, creating thoughtful analytics to address business issues, and communicating your findings to senior leaders. This role provides an opportunity to use your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop unsecured installment lending risk strategies and recognize enhancement opportunities through quantitative performance analysis to improve overall financial performance, customer experience, and execution quality using SAS, SQL, etc

  • Create thoughtful analytics to address business issues and be able to independently generate forward-looking solutions

  • Create written presentations and communicate results, findings and recommendations to senior leaders

  • Partner with technical groups to develop requirements for changes to rules engines and automated strategies

  • Forecast impacts of strategy and segment mix changes. Lead business partners through adjustments

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive controls to ensure processes are executing as designed and perform root cause analysis on trends against these strategies and processes. Where issues arise, must be able to recommend and implement appropriate resolutions

  • Support adherence to regulations and procedural alignment with Risk Policy

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of risk management or financial services experience

  • Bachelor's is required

  • SAS, SQL, Excel or Tableau statistical analysis experience (Other coding languages would be considered)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present findings to Senior Management

  • Result oriented, high attention to detail, and independent decision-making skills

  • Proven innovative thinker with high degree of creativity and possess disciplined analytic and problem-solving skills

  • Experience partnering across different functions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Knowledge of financial procedures & principles and strong understanding of consumer banking

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline like Statistics, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative discipline preferred
