Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The

SBTDC International Business Development Specialists responsibilities include:

  • Global Business Management: evaluate export readiness for "new to export" clients, and develop strategies and tactics for exporting
  • Global Marketing: identify potential export markets and customers, and locate/evaluate potential export sales representatives
  • Supply Chain Management: understand basic logistics including foreign freight forwarders, and research/evaluate supply chain options
  • Trade Finance: financial analysis, costing pricing, budgeting and forecasting, and technical assistance with SBA and Ex-IM finance options
  • Networking and Resources Referral: industry networking opportunities through special events, and provide research, publications, and training programs

This position is designated as Exempt from the Human Resources Act (

EHRA).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
