Essential Functions Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment with the guidance of a mentorDocuments patient care given.Monitors, records, assesses and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree nursing, Required or Provisional license will serve as proof of graduation.Bachelor's degree nursing, Preferred
Required Licenses[Kentucky, United States] Registered Nurse Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS), required with in 30 daysAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hireHWC within 30 days of hireAdditional educational modules and courses offered on a regular basis with requirements to complete in fullnessLicensed KY nursing license within 60 days of receiving Authorization to test from Nursing SchoolIf testing for RN licensure and unsuccessful depending on needs of department and student needs employee may work as PCT/SRNA and has another 60 day window to test and pass RN licensureConditional employment if unsuccessful for RN exam twiceMust practice within Graduate Nurse scope for first year in program
