PHC North America Planning Specialist (Japanese Fluency Required) in Wood Dale, Illinois

Job Title: Planning Specialist

About the opportunity: Planning Specialist uses quantitative analysis and reporting for business & sales planning. Report on internal historical sales metrics, market/competitive data, and align all to define opportunities for sales and market share growth. In this role, you must be fluent in Japanese. This is a great opportunity to impact our national and global business!

Location: This is a hybrid position, and would report into the Wood Dale, IL office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

What you will be doing:

  • Utilization of large data sets to analyze and report on business & market trends in life sciences and related fields of sales opportunities, order intake forecasting/results, and business plan.

  • Price data management, including price list creation and maintenance and price data mastering in our price approval system.

  • Event coordination, which would entail meeting invitations, and gathering presentation materials from presenters.

  • Visitor support and assisting with booking of hotels, meals, transportation, and scheduling.

  • Any additional support needed for the Director, including expense reporting, meeting invitations, and any communication with PHC headquarters in Japan.

What you need for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer/Software Science, or Data Science is preferred.

  • Experience with organizing, analyzing, summarizing, and presenting business and scientific data.

  • Require ERP experience, MS Dynamics AX experience preferred.

  • Experience with data analytics platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft BI or similar BI tools.

  • 1-3 years of experience executing data analysis and building Business Intelligence solutions and developing reporting and BI tools.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications specifically Microsoft Excel development skills (pivot table) preferred.

  • Must be fluent in Japanese.
