Robert Half is recruiting for an exciting HR opportunity with a growing organization in Woodbridge, VA!

As the Training Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs to support the professional development of employees. You will work closely with departmental managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs, develop curriculum, and deliver engaging and effective training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, strong leadership skills, and experience in designing and delivering training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Needs Analysis: Collaborate with departmental managers and HR to conduct training needs assessments and identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization.

  • Training Program Development: Design, develop, and implement training programs and materials to address identified training needs. Develop curriculum, training modules, and resources to support learning objectives.

  • Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels, both in-person and virtually. Deliver engaging and interactive training experiences that promote active participation and knowledge retention.

  • New Hire Onboarding: Develop and deliver orientation and onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and effective integration into the organization.

  • Leadership Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of managers and supervisors. Provide coaching and support to develop leadership competencies.

  • Training Evaluation: Evaluate training effectiveness and performance outcomes through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms. Analyze training data and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Manage the organization's learning management system, including course enrollment, tracking, and reporting. Ensure compliance with training requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Vendor Management: Identify and manage external training vendors, consultants, and resources as needed to support training initiatives. Negotiate contracts and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of external training programs.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development roles, with demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners at all levels.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in the use of assessment and evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and impact.

  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) preferred but not required.
