Kraft Mechanical Controls Estimator/Project Engineer in Woodbury, Minnesota
The Controls Estimator/Project Engineer is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings and ensuring that all required items are completed to successfully bid projects. Once the job is awarded, this person will be tasked with creating the drawings for customer approval. Essential Responsibilities: Review mechanical drawings and specifications for completeness and best practices Consult with vendors, subcontractors, and Kraft Mechanical staff to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues Analyze blueprints and construction documents to accurately prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates Conduct site visits or walk throughs as required to prepare estimates Request bonds when called out in bid documents Prepare submittals and drawings for submission when awarded a project Turn over approved drawings to PM and Field Personnel Assist with Marketing (Possibly participate select trade shows) Manage estimating email invites and bid board Keep estimating program up to date with material and labor costs Submit bids and budgets by the deadline We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of disability, veteran status or any other basis protected under federal, state or local laws.
