Hours: 40 hours * Days:* five days a week/ flexible time
The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of full time Director of Nursing for the County's 50 bed skilled/ intermediate nursing facility.

Responsibilities of the D.O.N.:
Planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department during the shift
Keep the facility staff in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations that govern the facility
Ensure patient care is handled appropriately; including documentation, assessments and procedures, in a timely manner
Ensure care plans and Doctor's order are being followed
Communicate with staff, and other departments, to ensure residents are provided with the best experience possible
Ensure that staff are mentored to provide constant, quality resident care
Must handle all supervisory and scheduling issues
Must participate in facility inspections as needed and perform administrative duties

Requirements of RN supervisor:
Valid RN license
Minimum 3-year in long term care experience, in a supervisory role
Experience in Point Click Care preferred
Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service and excellence in senior care
Ability to be a responsible and dependable team member who can take direction well
Adaptable and able to work under pressure
