Job Purpose

To manage a facility focused primarily on the quality, facility maintenance and continuous improvement such as LEAN and Project Management. Provide campus general support primarily for CCMC. Reporting to Director Operations

Job Duties

This position is responsible for managing overall product and process continuous improvement, and supervises quality, maintenance activities for equipment, facilities, and infrastructure in the campus. and to provide direction to supervisors of these areas in a manner to ensure efficient operations. Manages in accordance with established objectives for efficiency, cost, safety, quality, quantity, timeliness, and human resources objectives.

The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems which may not be obvious. The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan in order to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Part Quality, ISO 9000 Certification, etc. The position monitors and reports on key quality measures for the measure(s) stated.

Skill Descriptors

Quality Management : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
