Performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned clinic.
Reports to: Front Office Coordinator, Office Manager or Director of Physician Practices**
Minimum Education Athena and Meditech experience preferred Working knowledge of computers, telephones, copy and fax machines required Demonstrate knowledge of icd-9, icd-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds. Certification or completion of Medical Assisting coursework
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Licensure/Certification Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of date of hire Valid driver's license and use of a vehicle for on the job
