Independently or partially independently execute R&D projects and topics that support the BASF innovation pipeline to meet the current and future business needs for BASF.To carry out development activities, this position may lead subcontractors’ job contents at Yokkaichi Kasumi TPU Technical center.

M ain Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

  • Accelerate Innovation• To achieve development KPIs (Innovation sales, Vitality index, Time to market, Reporting, Technical launch ratio) by planning, implementing, and occasionally proposing the task team at internally and externally, and regionally and globally.• To collaborate with sales, TD, marketing to translate market/customer needs to Topic and/or Project proposal• To create, share and upload lab reports and results to LIVE Journal and Monthly report properly.• To implement necessity actions for new product registration (RAMP, BI, , if necessary CAS etc)• To support synthesis trial at production and tollers effectively.• To gather technology intelligence and share among the parties concerned.• To collaborate with Product manager about procurement new materials for development.• To execute IP survey and prepare IP to apply, if available•To support ideation for new product and application

  • Live Sustainability• To implement lab EHS activities according to EHS policies, targets, effectively, rationally and timely.• To work together with subcontractors and colleagues for maintaining lab clean, tidy and updated.• To manage the assigned equipment, raw materials and facilities and keep safety documents updated.

  • Excite Customers• To participate to the assigned customers’ technical meeting properly to translate customer pain points to development work, e.g. Topics and projects.• To participate and support customers’ workshop and exhibition to grasp customer pain points and trends.• To support processing trials of development products at customer together with TD, if necessary.

  • Inspire People• To educate subcontractors and colleagues tooperate lab facilities and data handlings adequately.• To support technical knowledge transfer from senior to young generation through OJT and lectures.• To collaborate with team members to improve Evo by suggestions and proposal properly.

  • Deliver Profit• To propose and implement CAPEX planning in accord with schedule and budgets• To propel commercialization of development product

  • Embrace Digitalization• To implement LIVE Journal upload• To understand and utilize Foundry data base in accord with HORIZON project.

Requirement

Edu c a t i o n

  • Preferably higher than Master degree at in Technical or Chemical Field

W o r k in g E x pe r i e n c e

Preferably

  • >4 years in a technical field or in product development related field (product or application or process or technology role)

T e c hn i c a l & P r o f e ss i o n a l Knowledge

  • English TOEIC >550

  • Technical and Professional knowledge

  • Analytical thinking and Experimental designing

  • Reporting effectively
