Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Dispatch Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing dispatch activities, ensuring efficient processes, and maximizing dispatch productivity. The Dispatch Leads' responsibilities include receiving completed Work Orders from each Production Line, fulfilling orders in the ERP (NetSuite), preparing the actual boxes of product from Work Orders onto pallets, ensuring correct labeling, wrapping up pallet loads, keeping count of product. Keep the total amount of Production Builds and being able to ensure the correct amount is shipped from the manufacturing facility. 

Must be able to understand the Production Plan fully and have a clear understanding of changes or cancellations daily and weekly of plan reports. The Dispatch Lead must organize numbers and counts of sizes Builds every day and be able to communicate with staff the total number at any time. Must be aware of giving the correct materials for any size and have list of things needed if low stock. 

Understand math and be able to use apps to communicate with other facilities. Must be able to carry boxes and load and unload trucks if needed. Must communicate with warehouse for materials needed for every order that is planned. 

Coordinate the distribution of work between different dispatch staff, planning production, ensuring the quality of goods, keeping all work systems updated with current information.   

  • Supervising dispatch staff and daily activities. 
  • Reviewing Work Orders, Transfer Orders and Fulfillment Orders. Ensuring accuracy before shipping. 
  • Preparing Transfer Orders. 
  • Ensuring only quality goods are shipped. 
  • Pull and pack product based on Work Orders. 
  • Meet specifics of Work Orders in a timely manner. 
  • Keep products separated, organized and in good rotation. 
  • Monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems to Production Team Lead. 
  • Scanning and sorting outgoing stock. 
  • Pulling, packing, and loading. 
  • Receiving, stocking, and stacking. 
  • Operate various pieces of equipment (Forklift, palletizer, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers -- other). 
  • Follow good manufacturing practices (Lean Principles) and require work safe practices. "Simply put, lean means creating more value for customers with fewer resources." A lean organization understands customer value and focuses its key processes on continuous improvement. 
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. 
  • Ensuring safety of staff.  
  • Managing, evaluating, and reporting on key performance indicators of Dispatch Productivity that include but are not limited to 6S, absenteeism, wastage, reception of defective goods.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.  
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate.  
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong with Basic Math / Fractions  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) 
  • Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite for warehouse management
