Job Description

Applies advanced knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits and troubleshooting methods. Follows standard work methods, and demonstrates willingness to learn and apply skills to repair of tracking mounts and related systems. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on optical tracking mounts and related systems. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, adjusts, modifies and repairs optical tracking mounts and associated equipment using manuals, SOPs, diagrams, drawing, schematics, common test equipment and tools. Types of equipment includes: video cameras, computers, servo control systems, timing equipment, RF receivers, camera lenses, auto focus systems and electrical distribution panels. Makes recommendations with respect to safety and technical issues related to tracking mount maintenance. Completes work assignments tasked by supervisor and Government maintenance scheduler. Takes direction from senior technicians. Maintains records and logbooks. Performs other duties as needed to ensure completion of test mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $31.10Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must have one of the following: 2 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronics to component level OR directly related Trade School / Military training and 1 year experience.Job Skills Requirements:* Must be able to solder.Physical Requirements:* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.* Must be able to climb ladders safely.* Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, bending and standing while performing duties.* Must be able to distinguish colors.* Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for KTM Maintenance.Job Requirements:* Must provide personally-owned common hand tools.* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.* Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.* Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.* Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.* Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.* Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.* Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.* Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.* Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.* Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.* Must be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies.* Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.Additional Desirable Qualifications:* Current Secret Security Clearance.* Knowledge of YPG ranges.* Class A CDL.* Possess certificate of qualification for KTM First Operator issued by YPG Range Support Contractor.* Strong mechanical aptitude.Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:* Must be a U.S. Citizen.* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.* Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.Relevance of experience to be determined by hiring manager.Closing Date: 21 NOVEMBER 2024
