Google Research Scientist, Machine Learning in Zürich, Switzerland

Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning.

  • Experience with graphics and imaging research.

  • Experience coding in C++ or Python.

  • One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience owning and initiating research agendas.

  • Experience in digital humans or related topics.

  • Experience in computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

  • Experience in coding.

As a Research Scientist, you'll also actively contribute to the wider research community by sharing and publishing your findings, with ideas inspired by internal projects as well as from collaborations with research programs at partner universities and technical institutes all over the world.

  • Help in growing research business across teams by sharing research trends and best practices within the community.

  • Develop next generation algorithms for Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR) perception.

  • Develop next generation technologies to capture, model, animate, simulate, and synthesize digital humans.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers, researchers, and technical artists, and product teams.

  • Design, implement, evaluate, and maintain next generation technologies for AR/VR.
